Recruitment Specialist for provincial government regulatory client, downtown Toronto.

Initial Term: March 20, 2023 to May 26, 2023, with expectation of additional extension.
Compensation: $39.97 per hour.

Regular Work Hours: 7.0 work hours per day, not including unpaid 1 hour lunch break, to be worked during regular business hours, Monday to Friday (35 work hours per week).
Work Location: Combination of remote-based and onsite at Client’s downtown Toronto office, on PATH, and near TTC station. You will be expected to work onsite approximately 20% of the time within any given month.
Responsibilities Summary:
Implement assigned recruitment and staffing activities, ensuring the effective delivery of end-to-end recruitment and staffing activities from client manager, candidate, and organization perspectives.
- Support HRBPs and HR Management in implementation of recruitment activities for complex roles.
- Engage with client hiring managers to develop recruitment and sourcing strategies for assigned recruitment roles, including confirmation of desired outcomes; and practical and feasible timeline for critical activities.
- Prepare key documentation to support achievement of recruitment objectives, including position descriptions and job postings; selection criteria; pre-screening and interview questions, testing parameters, and reference questions.
- Support managers to effectively screen candidates at all stages of the recruitment process, from identifying qualified candidates through to reference checking final candidates.
- Ensure a positive candidate experience, including responding to new candidate applications via the organization’s recruitment email inbox; meeting AODA requirements as required; and communicating in a timely, sensitive and informative manner on recruitment process and outcomes.
- Prepare initial drafts of offers for HRBP review, and conduct first level offer negotiations with candidates for assigned recruitment roles.
- Maintain resume databases and candidate pools, interface with search firms and advertising agencies, and monitor social, professional and networking websites to facilitate candidate sourcing and selection.
- Additional recruitment responsibilities as required.
Qualifications:
Education: Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration.
Professional Credentials: Certificate in Human Resources Management an asset.
Preferred Work Experience: At least 3+ years of progressive work experience in human resources, with a focus on high volume, full cycle recruitment.
Technical and Language Skills Requirements:
- Proficiency with HR information, talent management and e-recruitment or ATS systems
- Proficiency with MS Office applications.
- Proficiency with utilization of online research and social media sites for recruitment purposes.
- Advanced English communication skills, both written and verbal, including strong business writing skills and professional telephone manners.

- Demonstrated successful experience of prioritizing work, making decisions and communicating with others within a values framework of respect, equity, anti-racism, diversity and inclusivity.
Additional Requirements:
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.
- Ability to work both remotely and onsite as required, abiding by organization health and safety policies.
- Ability to provide 3 recent, qualified employment references, who are available to speak with promptly upon request.
- Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of assignment responsibilities.
- Ability to complete a satisfactory Provincial security check, including a Fingerprint Check, prior to assignment start. Please note that Marberg will reimburse for the cost of the Fingerprint Check upon confirmation of assignment start and submission of approved Expense Receipts.
- Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
- Additional satisfactory Background Checks and Employment References as required.
