Records Management Clerk required for a Provincial Government Ministry.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Research, locate and review current and historic records stored on microfiche, microfilm and electronic databases
  • Match and verify information on the records
  • Establish, organize and maintain filing system for microfiche jackets and microfilm reels
  • Develop file plan with accordance to records management schedule
  • Track and log results into Excel spreadsheet and prepare reports for review and approval
  • Handle inquiries and requests for information from internal staff
  • Update records on computer system with accuracy and consistency
  • Assist staff with understanding where files are saved

Qualifications and Skills

  • Familiarity with record keeping and filing system
  • Experience with operation and maintenance of microfilm and microfiche equipment
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft excel
  • Knowledge of computer applications and software’s
  • Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as in a team
  • Able to multi-task and handle conflicting priorities
  • Strong organizational, time management and prioritization skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
