Responsibilities:

  • Drafting and editing legal correspondence and documents
  • Reviewing and filing records and legal documents
  • Communicating with clients in a professional manner
  • Preparing documents for hearings, mediations, and arbitrations
  • Scheduling meetings and managing company calendar
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 3-5+ years of relevant experience as an insurance defence legal assistant
  • Understanding of Tort Law and Accident Benefits
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent keyboarding skills with high level of accuracy
  • Excellent proof-reading and attention to detail
  • Flexibility and willingness to undertake multiple tasks
  • Ability to take direction, meet deadlines and work with minimal supervision
Friendly, well established mid-size litigation firm, easy commute from Union Station/GO train; open ended week to week assignment; this is a new position open due to work volume.
