I&IT Service Account Manager to advise, direct, and coordinate multiple internal and external stakeholders and internal clients in province-wide rollout of IT service delivery system.  For provincial government ministry client, downtown Toronto location.

Job Type: Temporary, initial term ASAP to March 31, 2022, with expectation of extension.
Compensation:  $58/hr.
Work Location: Primarily onsite at client’s downtown Toronto office.

Responsibilities Summary:    

  • Provides ITSM expertise and leadership.  Works with IT team and other stakeholders to ensure initiative’s activities and service deliverables align successfully with broader organization strategy, policies and directives.  Provides feedback and progress reports to senior management.
  • Assesses operational needs and collaborates with senior management to address workload volume and cost and resourcing issues, to determine work priorities, and to schedule and assign responsibilities.   
  • Promotes new IT resource to internal client groups.  Develops business cases and other supporting materials.
  • Reviews and assesses IT impacts and alerts senior management to potential conflicts with existing infrastructure, policies and organizational requirements. Leads problem resolution process.
  • Manages relationships and facilitates communications between diverse stakeholders.  Manages client expectations.  Utilizes change management concepts to foster client acceptance and adoption of new IT resource.
  • Develops resource performance metrics that complement clients’ own program and service deliverables.  
  • Encourages client feedback, identifies performance issues, advocates for client needs, determines operational solutions and implements corrective action.
  • Manages external resources including RFPs and vendor contracts, and provides direction and oversight to external consultants and other personnel as required.
  • Streamlines maintenance, user supports, training, installations, and solution design towards satisfaction of clients’ needs.
  • May participate in local, provincial and international ITIL forums to further represent and promote the province-wide initiative in the context of overall organization IT leadership and strategy.
  • Additional IT account management responsibilities as required.


Education:  Post Secondary Degree in IT, Marketing, Business Administration or related discipline.
Preferred Experience:  At least 6+ years of applicable IT account management experience for ERP level clients, managing multiple clients at the same time.
Technical Skills Requirements:  Proficiency with ITIL and ITSM concepts, procedures, and practices.
