Responsibilities:

  • Intake department’s procurement requests and support department with end to end procurement process of key vendors
  • Draft procurement documents such as RFPs, RFIs, RFQ, RFS, Contract Information Forms, Contract Summary
  • Liaise with Procurement staff throughout procurement process and seek advice as required
  • Track vendor contracts as it relates to invoice processing, contract spend, contract end dates and extensions and vendor issues
  • Maintain records relating to procurement activities

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years’ gained experience related to the Ontario Government purchasing / procurement principles and practices
  • A degree in business or commerce, or equivalent certification and work experience, supported by formal courses in purchasing or procurement
  • A strong understanding of purchasing principles, especially the purchasing requirements of the Ontario Government, ideally acquired from previous experience working with the Ontario Government Procurement Directives
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Discipline and self-direction to thrive in an environment of high workload demands
