Documents Clerk for provincial government regulatory Client, downtown Toronto.

Initial Term: August 14, 2023 to December 1, 2023.
Compensation: $23.05 Per Hour.

Regular Work Hours: FULL TIME WORK HOURS 7.0 work hours per day, not including unpaid 1 hour lunch break, to be worked during regular business hours, Monday to Friday (35 work hours per week).
Work Location: Hybrid – combination of remote and onsite work at Client’s downtown Toronto office, on PATH and near TTC station.

Responsibilities Summary:
To provide a range of clerical and documents processing support services to corporate finance team.

  • Open and close applications files.  Respond to filing inquiries from internal and external parties.
  • Review submitted documents for compliance with template requirements, following up on inconsistent or missing information and making corrections as appropriate.
  • Track financial transactions such as fees, payments, and refunds in Excel and assist with any necessary reconciliations.  Process fees refund requests.
  • Receive and enter applications documents into databases and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Perform data entry, including downloading and uploading documents to various databases.
  • Prepare, edit, blackline, and distribute documents using Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Additional clerical support and documents processing responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:
Education: Post Secondary Degree or Diploma in Business or Office Administration, or applicable combination of work experience and education.
Preferred Work Experience: At least 2+ years of experience in a professional office environment, including experience supporting a professional team.
Preferred Sector Experience: Public Sector experience and/or Financial Sector experience an asset.

Technical and Language Skills Requirements:

  • Strong MSOffice skills in Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint (will be tested).
  • Strong typing and data entry skills (will be tested).
  • Proficient English communication skills, both written and verbal, including satisfactory business writing skills and professional telephone manners.

  • Demonstrated ability to work well both independently and collaboratively, and liaise effectively with a wide and diverse range of internal and external stakeholders.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.
  • Ability for both online and onsite interviews the week of July 31, 2023.
  • Ability to work both remotely and onsite as required, abiding by organization health and safety policies.
  • Ability to provide 3 qualified employment references promptly upon request.
  • Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of assignment responsibilities prior to assignment start.
  • Ability to complete a satisfactory Provincial Government security check, including a Fingerprint Check, prior to assignment start. Please note that Marberg will reimburse for the cost of the Fingerprint Check upon your acceptance of Assignment Offer and submission of approved Expense Receipts.
  • Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
  • Additional satisfactory Background Checks and Technical Skills Evaluations as required.
