Data Entry Clerk for public services client, Mississauga office.

Job Type: Temporary.
Initial Term:  From June 20, 2024 to September 30, 2024.
Compensation: $24.42 per hour.

Regular Work Hours:  FULL TIME HOURS: From 8:30 am to 4:30 pm not including 1 hour unpaid lunch break, Monday to Friday (35.0 work hours per week).
Work Location:  100% onsite at client’s Mississauga office, on bus route and with free parking onsite.
Onsite Dress Code:  Business Casual.  Non-scented personal products policy in effect.

Responsibilities Summary:  
Experienced data entry clerk to scan, upload and key in high volume of alpha numeric information from various sources into centralized database systems.

  • Transfer data from hard copy and digital records into electronic databases using keyboard and/or scanner.
  • Accurately type high volume of alpha numeric data.
  • Verify data by comparing it to source documents.
  • Update existing data and enter new data.
  • Retrieve data from database or electronic files as requested.
  • Perform regular backups to ensure data preservation.
  • Sort, code and organize supporting paperwork after entering data into hard copy filing system.
  • Additional data entry and clerical responsibilities as required. 

Qualifications:    
Education:  Highschool Diploma.
Preferred Work Experience:  At least 2+ years of similar data processing experience in a high volume, deadline driven environment.

Technical and Language Skills Requirements: 

  • Must type a minimum of 60 wpm accurately (will be tested).  
  • Exceptionally strong alpha numeric data entry skills (will be tested).
  • Superior attention to detail (will be tested).
  • Strong English reading comprehension (will be tested)
  • Satisfactory English verbal communication and business writing skills, and professional telephone manners.

Additional Requirements:    

  • Must be legally entitled to work in Canada, providing satisfactory documentation upon request.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite, abiding by organization health and safety policies.
  • Ability to declare personal Non-Conflict of Interest in execution of assignment responsibilities.
  • Provision of certification of AODA and OHSA online training course completion prior to assignment start.
  • Satisfactory Background Checks, Technical Skills Evaluations, and Employment References.
