  • Receive, organize and log incoming prior-approval applications
  • Receive, organize and log incoming prior-approval applications
  • Monitor and ensure timely response to incoming applications
  • Assist in Issues Management
  • Assist in implementing and monitoring operating policies and procedures
  • Compose and prepare correspondence
  • Maintain computerized/manual filing systems
  • Assist with preparation for meetings
  • Assists with management reporting


  • Job requires knowledge of and demonstrated experience with relevant prior-approval OOC/OOP section(s) in the Health Insurance Act (HIA)
  • Knowledge of government/ministry systems and processes related to the administration
  • Typing of 40 words per minute
  • Knowledge of Micosoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Reasoning, evaluative, organizational and problem solving skills
  • Organizational skills to compile information for
    meetings, correspondence responses, and presentations
  • Research skills to obtain information from the Internet
  • Superior verbal communication and interpersonal skills, diplomacy and tact.
