Job Description: 

Policy Analyst required for a Provincial Government Agency. Responsibilities include conducting research and collection and interpretation of information and data to support a variety of policy projects. Identify and analyze issues, and prepares reports of findings to support policy options and design. Develop and implement meeting follow up strategy and coordinate/ensure follow up activities are initiated and completed in a timely manner. Coordinate internal and external stakeholder liaison and collaboration for program policy matters such as consultations, meetings, communications, and the receipt, production and distribution of materials. Assist with working groups/stakeholder meetings to prepare minutes/record the meeting, and prepare policy analysis as needed. Assist with manager with issues management including the coordination of briefing notes including initiating and coordinating the preparation of briefing notes/materials/correspondence. Ideal candidate must possess knowledge of policy and program design techniques, related to government processes, and research methods in order to conduct policy analysis and assist in the preparation briefing submissions. Must possess strong communication, interpersonal and client relations skills. Must possess strong report writing skills, strong analysis skills. Must possess a strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, and advanced Excel skills.
