Job Description: 

File Clerk required for a Provincial Government employer.  Responsibilities are to maintain a filing system. The job will require filing, boxing files, moving/delivering files in an office consisting of two floors. Will be collecting file materials, sorting filing material into sequence and inserting material in appropriate files within the system. Retrieving and returning files for managers and other staff members. Closing inactive files. Archiving of files in accordance to retention schedules. Photocopying of material/files as required. Other administrative duties include filing loose mail, preparation of outgoing mail and packages for courier, and photocopy and fax information as required. Ideal candidate should possess knowledge of filing and archiving systems in order to maintain an effective filing room/system. Working knowledge of office equipment such as facsimile machine, photocopiers. Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with accuracy.
