Administrative Assistant-Government <AA9>
Administrative Assistant required for a Provincial Government Agency. Responsibilities are to organize and maintain meeting schedules, meeting, conference and travel arrangements. Prepare agendas and information packages. Preparing reports, forms, spreadsheets, presentations and general correspondence. Set up and maintain hard copy and electronic filing system, preparing files in accordance with established records management standards and procedures, retrieving files, re-labeling and repairing worn files, records retention, responding to requests for information from files. Maintain inventory of office supplies and equipment, arranges and follows up on equipment repairs and maintenance. Greeting visitor and callers, answering the telephone, taking messages, determining nature of calls and responding to routine enquiries. Sort and distributes and re-directs all incoming mail and faxes, preparing packages for courier shipment. Ideal candidate must possess a post-secondary education. Must possess minimum of 1 year office administration support experience. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills. Must be organized and be able to multi-task. Must be able to work independently and exercise good judgement.
