Job Description: 

Legal Junior required for a Provincial Government Agency. Responsibilities include researching files, law libraries for references, citations and statutes to be inserted in legal documents, meeting priority assignments, dicta transcription. Researching corporate records, land registry and land titles records, bankruptcy and personal property security records, executions and other investigative resources. Preparing letters, memoranda, reports, and legal documents (summonses, consents, orders, agreements of settlement, affidavits), ensuring adherence to legal style, format and terminology. Communication with members of the legal profession, the public, all levels of government and court administration officials. Updating computer log, tracking court information, docketing time. Maintaining branch library materials, e.g. indexing and filing bills, regulations, and legal periodicals, tribunal decisions, etc. and other legal or administrative duties as required. Ideal candidate must possess Post-secondary education or work related experience of 1 year minimum in a legal practice. Must possess legal experience with Civil Litigation, Motor Vehicle Accidents/Personal Injury and dicta transcription. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills.
