Job Description: 

Legal Administrative Assistant for Employment law firm, downtown Toronto. Responsibilities include providing administrative support to two lawyers. Organizing and maintenance of a large number of documents and files in the firm’s filing system. Composing, editing and revision of correspondence, administrative tribunal/court forms and other legal documents from dictated and/or oral instruction. Preparation of summons and arrange for appropriate conduct money to be provided and served by numerous process servers throughout Canada. Filing and serving all types of legal documents with courts, tribunals and opposing counsel. Scheduling meetings, hearings and conference calls with clients, court/tribunal offices and various other legal agents. Must have 2-3 years’ experience in the legal field.  Ideal candidate must have; strong scheduling and organizational skills. Must have strong proficiency in MS Office such as Word, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat. Experience in trial preparation, particularly the organization of documents, pleadings & case law.
