Corporate/Tax Law Clerk <L1>
Corporate/Tax Law Clerk required for a law firm located in downtown Toronto. Will be responsible in preparation of Articles of Incorporation; amendments; amalgamations; continuances; dissolutions. Will handle annual filings/annual resolutions; drafting dividend and redemption documents, corporate transaction checklists and documents; corporate/due diligence searches. Will be following up on execution of documents; attending to corporate closings, preparing record books, and client reporting/billings; and other duties as required. Successful candidate must have completes a Law Clerk Program with a minimum of 10 years’ Corporate/Tax experience. Must strong attention to detail and have excellent communication and organizational skills. Must have the ability to multi-task, and to work both independently and as a team player. Must have advanced computer skills with Word, Excel and CorpLink. Must have extensive knowledge of legal procedures. Must have excellent organizational skills, able to meet timely deadlines and ensure appropriate response times. Must have excellent communication (written and oral) skills.
