Technical Support Specialist <SYS5>
Level 1 Technical Support Specialist required full-time for a company located in the west-end of the GTA. Responsibilities include being the first point of contact for all IT support requests from all employees. Provide exceptional client care to employees and vendors for issues or requests. Investigate and process service requests or incidents via ticketing system. Support will be required via carious channels including: email, telephone, remote and/or onsite. Provide support and maintenance of company’s network, desktop, laptop, telecommunication. Support mobile devise including maintenance and troubleshooting. Provide assistance with end user hardware and or software maintenance, monitoring, troubleshooting, installations, upgrades, changes, configuration, and testing. Identify and escalate priority issues in a timely manner. Manage general maintenance of system and application accounts involving creation, deletion, and alterations. Maintain confidentiality of client and company information only between appropriate company personnel. Ideal candidate must possess a post-secondary education in computer science and/or 2 years equivalent work experience. Possession of Microsoft technical certifications is preferred (MCSA, MCSE, etc.). Must possess knowledge of and experience working with Citrix. Must possess knowledge of VoIP and analog phone line issues. Must possess technical knowledge and ability to support and trouble shoot hardware and software applications on computers and mobile devices. Must possess technical knowledge and experience to support and troubleshoot network connectivity issues. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must possess exceptional customer service skills and phone etiquette, with the ability to communicate and support end users of varying levels of computer skills. Must possess a valid Driver’s license and working vehicle for potential travelling between GTA work sites.
