Job Description: 

Senior Financial Analyst required for a Provincial Government Agency. Responsibility includes developing costing model and conduct Activity Based Costing (ABC). Conduct research, perform in-depth reviews and summaries of financial data, options analysis and identification of any risks to performance against established objectives to support senior management reporting and decision making. Monitor and provide financial analysis and advice in relation to multi-year financial planning and forecasting, budget estimates processes and budget control. Develop, support and maintain financial information/reporting systems and procedures to support budget monitoring and verify the integrity and reliability of financial information. Use financial reporting systems, prepare a variety of regular and ad hoc financial information, and analytical reports. Prepare briefing notes, analysis, reports and presentations to the management team, and identify financial planning/control issues, trends and opportunities that have direct impact on management decisions. Ideal candidate must possess a minimum of 3 years’ experience with finance and/or accounting . Must possess in-depth experience of Activity Based Costing and application of key finance and accounting principles. Must possess an accounting designation (CPA). Those with Public Service sector experience is considered an asset. Must possess excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. Must possess strong consultation, research and analytical skills. Must be proficient with MS Excel and PowerPoint.
