Job Description: 

Payroll Administrator required for Provincial Government Agency. Responsibilities include data entry, verification, and processing of bi-weekly payroll for 500-600 employees (salaried, hourly, and Daily), unionized and non-unionized and Defined Benefit Pension Plan. Ideal candidate must possess payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) designation. Must possess expert knowledge of accounting principles and practices, payroll software applications (Ceridian Dayforce preferred) with a strong ability to address/trouble shoot systems issues, as well as payroll legislation and Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) guidelines and requirements. Must possess strong verbal and written communication skills. Must possess ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff and management. Must possess excellent attention to detail and accuracy, superior analytical skills. Must possess s strong active listening skills. Must possess strong problem solving and mathematical skills to investigate and resolve discrepancies in payroll. Must possess knowledge of MS Office Suite (word, Excel and Outlook).
