Job Description: 

Accountant required for a large regulatory board. This role will be responsible in maintaining a general ledger system; preparing account reconciliations and reconcile other financial discrepancies; bank reconciliation; prepare cash flows; various schedules and general journal entries in support of the period closing and year-end process. Will be preparing payroll calculations and payroll general ledger account reconciliations; entering and maintaining payroll data; reconcile and proves all related payroll payments and deductions. Will handle Compensation and Employer Health tax; issue ROE as requested; reconcile T4’s and produce T2200 statements. Will be handling full cycle accounts payable. Will provide financial statements and management reports. Successful candidate must have 3 years’ experience in a similar role. Must have an undergraduate degree in business or account; pursuing a CPA designation. Must have a solid experience in preparing payroll and related payroll accounting duties. Must have previous experience processing payroll using ADP. Good working knowledge of Quickbooks. Must be highly organized with the ability to plan, prioritize and manage responsibilities in keeping with strict deadlines. Must have excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
